This list will tell you everything that you need to own a pair of healthy and happy gerbils!

1) A fish tank, minimum size is a 10g

2) A reptile lid to prevent escapees, or a tank topper, which provides more room

3) A suitable bedding for nesting and absorbing urine. The best bedding choices are Aspen and paper based bedding. Don't use pine or cedar as they are toxic.

4) A wooden or cardboard house to sleep in. Don't use plastic as gerbils love to chew plastic and it's bad for them to ingest.

5) Cardboard tubes, wooden chews made for rodents, and cardboard boxes make great toys. Gerbils have constantly growing teeth and need to wear them down.
